Have you ever heard of the name ” BURIHIRA(*)”?
*BURI( Japanese Amberjack )crossbreed with HIRA-HIRAMASA(Yellowtail Amberjack)
The new fish is a cross between a male yellowtail amberjack( Seriola Lalandi ) and a female Japanese amberjack ( Seriola Quinqueradiata ) and its cultivation began in earnest this year.
It has been attracting attention as a new commercial product and has been highly evaluated by professionals and is gaining popularity in stores.
It has the strong umami(deliciousness) taste and fatty texture unique to BURI and the crunchy texture and resistance to discoloration unique to HIRAMASA.
Since it exists in nature, there are no safety issues.
The retail price of nigirizushi (hand-formed-sushi) ranges from 86 to 302 yen per piece.
At 494 yen per 100 grams for sashimi (row sliced fish), it is cheaper than HIRAMASA and about the same price as BURI.
I like BURI so much that I always order it when I go to Kaitenzushi.”conveyor belt” sushi bar
If I find “BURIHIRA” at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, I will definitely try it.

I am taking several supplements.

The Autumn Leaves

Japan has four distinct seasons, each with its own characteristics.
Autumn is the season of changing color leaves.
Narita-san Park near my house is a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves in Chiba Prefecture.
I’m really looking forward to this season of year.
I bought some Kintoki Amataro oval pancakes at Omotesando and paid a visit to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple.
Afterwards, take a picture in front of my favorite view of Naritasan Park.
It takes about an hour, and is my favorite walking course.
I’m excited and enjoying the changing natural scenery with a bouncy heart.

Sewing Machine Oil

There were some clothes that I really needed to wash.
Freshly bought fuzzy loungewear with a strong smell of sewing machine oil.
It is common for polyester-based clothing from China to have oil used as a lubricant on conveyors and sewing machines in sewing factories that remains on the clothing.
As it’s cheap price, I think it is inevitable
To get rid of this smell, I learned that it is good to soak them in Oxiclean in hot water at about 60 degrees Celsius for about an hour and then dry them flat.
So, I popped my loungewear into the bathtub at around 10pm.
Pour in enough boiling water to soak the loungewear and add 5 cups of Oxiclean.
After an hour, drain the boiling water from the bathtub, wear a plastic bag on foot and step on the loungewear repeatedly to remove as much oil and water as possible.
Then, around 11pm, I hung it out on the balcony.
Naturally, water accumulates in the lower part , so I squeeze my loungewear over and over until I go bed.
*In the past, I used sesqui-soak at 40 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, but the smell didn’t go away, so this time I tried with the stronger version.
I continued to let it dry for a few days, and it seems to have removed quite a bit of the smell.

I have loved vintage clothing since I was a teenager, and I often went to vintage clothing stores.
I often went to Harajuku, Shimokitazawa, and Koenji in Tokyo where there are many vintage clothing stores.
I have also visited Osu in Nagoya, a three-hour train ride away, just for second-hand clothes to shop around.
My hometown is in the countryside of northern Kanto, where there are no fashionable stores.
I also like to explore second-hand clothing shops that are quietly operating there.
Of course, I also like to buy new clothes.
The other day, I went to Harajuku after a long time.
I was walking through Ura-Harajuku (an area with many apparel stores) in Harajuku and was surprised.
They are so many vacant stores.
It was like a ghost town, as the select stores and long-established vintage clothing stores that used to crowd the area were gone.
Due to the coronavirus, there has been a rush to close stores.
However, there are some stores that will close their physical stores, but will continue to operate online or through mail order.
My favorite second-hand clothing store in Osu, mentioned above, is also open only three days a week.
They doing business by mail-order as well, but the business is in a very difficult and bad situation.
If I were an oil tycoon, I’d buy everything in the store and contribute to it. I thought to myself as I trudged down the bleak street.

Apartment Condominiums

We had been looking for a single house for a year and a half.
However, we were unable to find the land and house we wanted for any length of time.
I was also looking for a used one, but I couldn’t find it.
One day, my mother suggested that I should live in an apartment.
My parents’ house is owner-occupied, facing south, with good sunlight, and my mother lives there alone.
Why did my mother suggest the apartment?
First of all, the prices of apartments in good condition near by the station do not go down.
She suggested that my wife and I live in the apartment for a few years, and when mother passed away, we could sell the apartment and live in her house.
I thought it wasn’t a bad deal, and now I was looking for an apartment.
However, I could not find an apartment in the desired location.
Even if I found one, the price was too high for me to afford it.
According to my research, the national average price of real estate is currently increasing every year.
In particular, condominiums(Apartment) have been on the rise since 2013, and new condominiums(Apartment) in the Tokyo metropolitan area are priced on par with the bubble period.
As the price of new condominiums(Apartment) rises, so does the demand for used condominiums(Apartment).
If you have an apartment, now seems to be the time to sell it.
I’m still trying to find and shop around it patiently.
