I celebrated my 44th birthday in September 2021 (although not a year to celebrate).

And my mother also had a birthday in the same month.

And it just so happened that my wife’s parents wanted to visit my mother to greet them on another matter, so they came to my house first.

I didn’t tell her, but my wife told her that my mother and I have birthdays this month.

Then we immediately decided to go to a cake shop.

My father-in-law said we should go to a private cake shop instead of a major cake shop, so we went to a nearby private cake shop.

Since the restaurant was small, we were supposed to enter one group at a time to prevent the spread of the new corona infection.

When we entered the restaurant, my father-in-law slipped up first and said, “It’s expensive and tiny,” which created a delicate atmosphere in the restaurant.

I’ve bought it a few times, and while the price was the same, it was definitely smaller.

Major food companies have also decided to raise their prices starting with shipments on October 1.

The reason for the price hike is that the international price of grains has soared due to increased global demand and unseasonable weather in the main producing areas, and the prices of oils, fats and sugars have risen.

Also, the price of eggs has been rising due to the spread of avian flu.

   Spider

Our house is often invaded by spiders.

I don’t live in a rundown house.

Still, for some reason, they seem to be appearing in large numbers on the gravel in the yard.

I take a stance of not exterminating spiders even if they invade my house.

Did you know that spiders are beneficial insects?

Basically, spiders don’t harm people, they prey on pests (cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, ticks, etc.)

It is also said to be a symbol of prosperity.

Sesame seed-sized spiders are cute, so I often play with them on my hands.

But the other day, when I was coming home, I saw a fist-sized fleshy spider scurrying around my front door at a very fast pace.

I got goosebumps.

Believe myself had been valiant and resolute but was frightened at the sight of the spider, However my wife was completely unfazed and chased it away.

I was impressed with how strong my wife was.

At around 11:30 a.m. on September 24, a small object was seen walking in Runway A at Narita Airport, causing the runway to be temporarily closed.

The small object that caused the commotion was… a turtle.

The disturbance caused the runway to be closed for about 12 minutes, but the turtle was safely captured and there were no flight delays due to the runway closure.

At any rate, I’m glad that nothing serious happened to the turtle or the human.

   Asian night market

A Taiwanese and other Asian food stall “Hot Tourist Night Market” will open in Kyoto.

From September 13, in Shijo, Kyoto, you will be able to taste about 70 different kinds of food, including street food from seven Asian countries such as Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The decorations, menus, and other elements are designed to replicate the atmosphere of the local night market as much as possible.

There is a fascinating array of dishes with unfamiliar characters and food smells.

The concept was born from the idea of wanting to “feel like We’ve been there” as soon as possible now that We can’t travel overseas due to the Corona disaster.

You will feel as if you were on a trip to the Taiwan Night Market in Kyoto.

I have always written about how I like to go to live concerts, or how I went to autograph sessions of models I admire

As you may have guessed, I’m the type of person who is rushing madly like wild boar.

I buy the books and goods that are sold, and I am always collecting information.

I will also participate in events, if any.

I also like to display posters and calendars.

My friends often say to me, “When you like something, you have a personality that gets into it”

Is that so? I used to think so, but lately I’ve come to think that it’s my mother’s genetics.

Mother Legend ①

My mother is the huge one of fan of famous Japanese singer who sings.

When she was young, she liked it so much that she went to his parents’ house in Hokkaido.

She did not visit without any advance announcement. The singer’s family seemed to have opened the house as a kind of memorial hall at that time.

In addition, his father was there, and he allowed her to go to his parents’ house and see the inside of his room.

And on top of it, she even took a photo as memory in front of his parents’ house.

The photos are still kept in a safe place.

Instead of returning home, she also made a trip to all the places in Hokkaido that are often mentioned in his songs.

It’s what we now call a “pilgrimage to the holy places” of movies and manga.(Magazine)

Mother Legend ②

“My mother used to check out every single radio and TV program that the singer appeared on.”

At that time, there were no social networking sites, YOUTUBE, missed broadcasts, or archived viewing.

For this reason, my mother was proud to say that no matter how late at night the broadcast was, she listened to it even if she had to work the next day.

One day, the singer’s radio program held an event called “The Song Contest of the Prefecture Where You Live.”

Send in a cassette tape of you singing that song, and the winner will get an autograph from the singer ! This is the main program.

My mother bought the most advanced and highest quality boom box of the time just for that purpose, and invited her friends to sing a certain northern Kanto prefectural song with all her might.

As a result, They won!

She said that she was happy to have his autograph, but she was also happy to have her song heard by him.

Aside from ➁, the visit to singers parents’ house in ① is unthinkable nowadays.

If I had such an opportunity, I would go seven times a week.

“Blood thicker than water ( This child exists because of this parent exists )Parental genes are still intact passed on to the child”

   Gorilla who helped the child
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

This article happened to catch my eye, and it was very heartwarming, so I’d like to share it with you.

This incident happened 19 years ago.

On August 16, 1996, three-year-old Levin fell from the fence of the gorilla booth at the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois.

The fence was almost 10 meters high and he was unconscious when he fell.

While the crowd was in an uproar, a gorilla noticed the fallen Levin and slowly approached.

That was the first time such an accident had occurred.

It was also the first time that this gorilla had seen a human in his camp.

The worst-case scenario is that the gorilla will kill him.

If we go in to help him now, we might provoke the gorilla and put him in danger.

They just had to watch quietly.

In the midst of all this, the behavior of one female gorilla (named Binti Jua) surprised them who were watching this whole story.

The gorilla gets even closer to him.

This gorilla is huge, weighing over 200 kilograms, and even just being covered by it is dangerous.

But the next moment…

She picked up the child and sat down on the spot so that the other male gorillas would not get too close.

She then carried the child to where the keepers were.

Gently rubbing his back was like a parent worrying about their child.

Eventually, he regained consciousness and realized what was going on, and started to cry.

She’s gone after verify him regained.

He was safely rescued and taken to the hospital, where he was fortunately treated for minor injuries.

It seems that gorillas are naturally timid and gentle animals.

They do not attack humans on their own.

I don’t know how Binti felt about Levin.

However, I thought that as animals, we all share the same desire to help others when they are hurting.
