SAKE(Japanese rice wine)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The president of a friend of mine celebrated his birthday on August 20th.
I asked him directly what he would like as a gift, and he said Kubota (Manju), a Japanese sake, would be a good choice.
As not knowing much about sake, I readily agreed.
I immediately went to the local supermarket to look for sake and quickly found Kubota’s Hyakujyu and Senju, which were sold for around 1,000 yen for 720 ml.
However, I couldn’t find any Manju at all even though I visited many supermarkets.
Finally, I found Manju in the fourth try, but I was surprised to see the price jump all the way up to 3,800 yen.
Kubota is made by Asahi Shuzo in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, a long-established sake brewery that started in 1830 during the Edo period (1603-1868) under the trade name “Kubotaya.
In 1985, the company released the “Kubota” series of sake, which was named after the company name, and became famous.
The taste is light and dry, and I never get tired of it, so I gave it as a gift this time, but next time I will buy some for myself and try it.

Perpendicular (90 degrees Angle )
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
What would you say if an elementary school student asked you, “Why is a right angle 90 degrees?
I do feel that 100 degrees is a better separation, and if you want, 50 degrees or even 1 degree should be fine.
(Regardless of the usability of the right angle as 1 degree.)
If it were me, I would say, “How dare you wonder about such a thing? That’s great.” I would start by praising the point of view.
Next, you might start a three-way meeting with Google-teacher, saying, “I don’t know, let’s look into it together.
If you are a quick thinker, you may be able to approach the origin of the number “360 is close to some number ……” from the number 360 degrees, which is the circumference of a circle.
If you’re a little curious with interest, please look it up on the internet.

NATTO (Fermented Soybeans)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
I like the combination of natto and rice.
Do you eat natto on top of rice?
I eat natto and rice separately.
Reason 1: I feel that if the heat from the rice warms up the natto, it won’t taste as good.
Reason 2: Rice bowls don’t get soggy, so washing is easy.
As a matter of fact, from a nutritional point of view, it is better to eat natto and rice separately.
Nattokinase is one of the nutrients contained in natto.
Nattokinase is effective in thinning the blood, but it is weak against heat and decreases when combined with warm food.
Therefore, if you eat natto on top of hot rice, you will lose out it.
Also, did you know that it is better to stir the natto before pouring the sauce over it?
This is also a matter of nutrients. They say that the nutritional value is higher if you stir it first and then pour the sauce over it.
Please try it when you eat natto.

Digital Currency
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The other day, El Salvador in Central America adopted the virtual currency, Bitcoin, as its legal tender.
In 2009, when Bitcoin began to be recognized, major electronics retail stores and major eyeglasses specialty stores in Japan introduced Bitcoin payment.
However, the highly speculative nature of Bitcoin has not been widely adopted due to concerns that it is not suitable as a means of payment due to its large price fluctuations.
However, the world is shifting from cash to digital currency.
China is conducting a large-scale demonstration project to issue a digital yuan next year.
Japan is also moving toward the introduction of a digital currency (CBDC) issued by the central bank.
In the near future, there may come a time when salaries and annual gifts(money given to a child by relatives and visitors)will be “digital currency.”

Convenience Store
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
One of the focus points of the Olympics was the “Japanese Convenience Store”.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were held without spectators for the first time in history.
Foreign delegations, officials and reporters were restricted in their scope of activities during the Games.
Japanese convenience stores supported the dietary needs of the people involved in the event.
In this context, ice cream from convenience stores was introduced to the world through social networking sites.
She posted on (SNS)social media, “I found the best convenience store ice cream.”
“It’s a chocolate jumbo monaka( wrapped Steamed glutinous rice baked in a crepe shape thinlly )”
The perfect balance of crunchy monaka and chocolate, I love this ice cream myself.
A Singaporean reporter posted it on SNS and it quickly became a trending word around the world.
Convenience store products, which are commonplace in Japan, seemed to be a fresh experience for the eyes and palates of people overseas.

On-Line Lesson ( Education )
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The summer vacation is over and our children have started going to school.
The other day, while I was working at home, my children came home from school as usual.
However, both my daughter and son are somewhat flustered.
When I asked her why, she told me that she was going to have an online class practice.
Both of them were dexterous with their tablets as they prepared.
Images of teachers and children are projected on the screen and children’s voices can be heard.
My 5th grade daughter was very reluctant to have my reflection or my voice in the picture.
It seems that puberty has begun.
For some reason, when I secretly watch my daughter’s class, she waits in front of the screen while holding her dog.
It seems that they are each presenting something that is important to them.
My daughter looks so happy to be in front of the screen while holding the dog.
My son, a first year student, was taking an online class in the living room, and it seemed that the most important thing to him was also a dog.
After that, it seems that online classes have yet to start in earnest.
However, depending on the spread of the coronavirus, we may have to move to online classes.
If possible, I would like children to take classes in classrooms or schoolyards with their friends.

PODCAST ( iPod + Broadcast )
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
I’ve recently become addicted to listening to podcasts on spotify.
“Podcast” is a word coined from the combination of “iPod” and “broadcast”.
It is one of the means of publishing audio, video, and other data on the Internet.
It’s like a radio that you can listen to anytime, anywhere.
There are several podcast services, but I use spotify, which is free to listen to.
The podcast that I recommend is “The Fabulous World of Kano Sisters”.
The two Kano sisters will answer listeners’ questions and concerns.
I was expecting Kyoko to answer gently because they are such an elegant, gorgeous and marvelous couple (in a good way), but she was too harsh.
Whenever I had a problem, she would say, “You should give up on that,” or “It’s not worth thinking about.
Personally, I thought she was calm and soft-spoken, so I was surprised.
But it’s better to be that clear about your problems.
Mika, on the other hand, is more of a troubled listener, and it’s cute to see her floundering between her and her more articulate sister.
For example, in the question section…
Question: What are your hobbies?
Kyoko answered :My hobbies are myself.
Question: What are your special skills?
Kyoko answered : My special skills are myself.
Ohh, How fine, skills, hobbies are myself……..
I want to learn from them and be fabulous too.
So, our dear, dear people, have a nice day!
(What the hell is this? If you’re wondering, check out the sisters’ Instagram!)

Age does not matter what you like to do.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
The other day I found an article about a 93 year old man working at McDonald’s.
He is working at the Takaoka Station South Store in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.
He has been working since 2019 and says, ” I love working, and the people I work with” are very important.I was fascinated with him doing worth.
The world is stagnant with corona, young people are less energetic, and there is little talk of a bright future.
His energetic work not only supports the restaurant, but also inspires his colleagues, who say, “I feel that people can challenge themselves at any agehis His presence cheers up the people around him..
I really believe that age does not matter when it comes to doing what you want to do, just like anything else.
People who are doing what they love always look energetic, and above all, they seem to be having fun.
I was reminded that I want to spend my days doing what I like and having fun.
