We tweet about things that are not related to our work.

   Telework
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

It has been about four months
since we started remote work as a countermeasure
against the new coronavirus infection.

Perhaps because the companies around me are also doing remote work,
I feel that the number of passengers
on the platform of the station has decreased
by about 20 to 30% compared to a year ago.

The station I’m using is the first station in the direction of Tokyo,
and the platform was crowded before the train arrived,
but now it seems that I can sit in my seat
even when I come to the last minute of departure.

A major company plans to abolish
the fixed payment of commuting allowance
from October and switch to actual expense settlement.

In order to respond to the increase in teleworking at home
without going to work at the company base,
it is said that a new teleworking allowance of 250 yen per day will be provided.

With the spread of the new coronavirus infection,
it seems that efforts to support new work styles
regardless of location or time are spreading.

The company has paid a commuter pass
to all employees who commute by train,

and a monthly fee for gasoline for commuting by car.

Under the new system,
it seems that the actual cost will be paid
according to the fare and mileage for the number of days worked.

The teleworking allowance is said to be aimed at
reducing the burden of communication charges
and utility costs for teleworking and promoting retention.

It seems that IT companies are leading the way
in abolishing commuting allowances and introducing telework allowances.

From September,
a mobile phone company paid a monthly allowance of 4,000 yen
for working from home with using transportation expenses as actual expenses.

Another major telecommunications company will set up a new remote work
allowance of 200 yen per day from October.

In addition,
electronic equipment manufacturers are planning
to pay a monthly allowance of 5,000 yen based on telework,
except for manufacturing bases.

It is said that a major confectionery company plans to telework about 800 people,
which is about 20% of domestic employees,
and to promote the cancellation of transferees’ single assignments.

It seems that the way of working has changed considerably in this corona.

   ”Sharp mask” won !!
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The problem of insufficient supply of masks has been completely solved, and non-woven and cloth masks are also available.
The chances of seeing it have increased considerably.

Mask “MA-1050” produced by Sharp from the end of March
Maybe it’s a highly reliable sharp mask (made in Japan)
The wining rate is 100 times or more.

This time, I won the 16th sale of the lottery on August 12, and purchased a sharp mask.
If you apply once, you can automatically participate in the lottery from the next time.
Please note that you will forget that you applied.

The number of masks is 50, and it is 3,938 yen including consumption tax and shipping fee.
There is a “SHARP” logo, and the front and back of the mask are easy to understand
The performance evaluation of the test is also described and the quality seems to be high.

Even if you actually wear it, your ears will not hurt and it will cover your face firmly.

Things did not get back to normal by Corona and comming influenza, pollinosis in spring
It looks like it will continue to be “WITH MASK”.

Also, I washed the recently purchased summer mask (made of cloth) normally in the washing machine.
Hand washing is recommended, but it does not affect the mask in particular, just because the elastic cord has shrunk.
If you stretch it, it will return to its original shape, so you don’t need to wash your hands.

   Golden Week
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

How did you spend this year’s Golden Week?
I think that many people spent these days
at home due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

According to the data released on August 13
by the Narita Airport Branch of the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau

Those who entered and exited from Narita Airport
during Golden Week (April 24th to May 6th)

The number was only 12,720,
which seems to be a shocking result
of 99% decrease from the previous year.

So far, the number of immigrants
during the same period immediately
after the Great East Japan Earthquake
that occurred in 2011 was 580,000.

Although it was the lowest ever,
the result was far below this number.

I myself work at Narita Airport,
and until just a few months ago,
there were various foreigners.

I feel nostalgic for commuting
while feeling the global atmosphere
with the languages of the country flying around.

Even now,
the new coronavirus seem stil spreading and does not converge,
but We hope that people of various nationalities
will be able to come and go as before without worrying about viruses.

Narita Airport : international cargo flights record highest in number

At Narita Airport, the number of international cargo flights in the first half of this year was the highest ever.
Passenger flights have been suspended or reduced one after another due to the influence of the new coronavirus. And then airline companies have converted passenger planes to cargo flights.

According to Narita International Airport Corporation(NAA), the number of international passenger flights departing and arriving from January to the end of June this year is about 44,400.
It decreased significantly to about half of the same period last year.

On the other hand, the number of international cargo flights departing and arriving was more than 15,200, a significant increase of 29%, the highest number in the first half of the year since the opening of this airport.
It is thought to be the effects of airline companies diverting passenger planes to freight transportation, such as the transportation of medical supplies.

NAA says, “Narita Airport has become a hub for international air cargo as international passenger flights continue to be in a difficult situation.”

   Shogi
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The 2020 September issue of “Sports Graphic Number”, a sports magazine published by Bungei Shunju, was released on September 3rd.
It became a hot topic because it featured “Shogi” (Japanese chess) for the first time since it was first published in 1980.

Souta Fujii, a teenage professional shogi player who holds two titles, was pictured on the cover.
“Is shogi a sport at all?” I was attracted when I saw the advertisement of “Sports Graphic Number” in a newspaper.

As soon as it was officially announced the day before the release, it became a hot topic on the internet.
It sold out in the morning of the release date at Amazon online shopping.
The reprint was decided on the same day, and its circulation has reached 200,000.
I like choosing books at bookstores, so I was surprised that so many people buy books at Amazon.

The argument whether shogi is a sport at all did not occur in the editorial department, they say.
The editor-in-chief spelled out in the editorial postscript,
“Shogi players are unquestionably athletes because they fight seriously for all their mental and physical skills, including intelligence.” They declared Shogi is a sport.

I thought there were various ways of thinking and feeling.
In the future, the day may come when Shogi will be added to the Olympic games.

   MONDAY CAR
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I was stationed on the west coast
of the United States for about 20 years.

The west coast is a state
where mixed ethnic groups are the mainstream,
and white people I did not see much.

Japanese people gather in a Japanese village,
build Japanese culture there,
Villages similar to those of the Philippines, South Korea,
and China were created their own villages.

This oriental race was very diligent and works until midnight whereas
white peoples engages and cuts off in time.
There was a difference.

There is a famous word called “MONDAY CAR”.
Major US vehicle sales company bought cars on Monday,
which were many defective products.

Because with car that was completed with too much drunk on the weekend
and workers cut corners. It was a half true.

From here, the excellence of Japanese cars were discovered.
