I love cream puffs.
When I was a child, I did not have a particular sweet tooth.
Naturally, I didn’t like cream puffs either.
However, around the age of 25, my sister bought me a “pie custard from the oven” from a store called Gâteau de Voyage, and from there I was hooked.
We ate jumbo cream puffs from Ginza Cosy Corner and cream puffs from Beard Papa.
Right now my recommendation is the “serious cream puff” from Landrome’s (a supermarket only in Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures).
It is filled with a lot of cream and the price is 100 yen.
I hope many people will try it because it is amazingly delicious and 100 yen for this quality.
Even more delicious for the price is the “Hokkaido Whip & Custard Cream Puff” from the hard-discount store Big A.
The price is a low-cost 69 yen.

McDonald’s in the U.S. sold “McPlant,” a hamburger made with alternative meat, only in certain areas.
This is more popular than expected, so they are expanding their sales area.
The other day I tried an alternative meat.
The fried soybean meat was quite tasty.
Nevertheless, I still thought the fried chicken was better.
However, I believe that alternative meats will become more mainstream in the future, and meat will gradually be used less and less.
The following is a list of advantages and disadvantages of alternative meats.

No animal sacrifice
No risk of infectious disease, which is common in animals
Less likely to cause obesity due to low fat content
Some foods taste better than meat.

There is a possibility of losing butcher stores and other jobs in the future.
I love Yoshinoya’s beef bowl, so if I could recreate that taste with an alternative meat, I thought it would be great.

On February 23, the Hong Kong government announced that it had applied on January 21 to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement.
*The RCEP has a total of 15 member countries, including Japan, China, Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Hong Kong already has free trade agreements (FTA) with China and ASEAN.
However, it appears that the application was filed in order to achieve expanded free trade with Japan and South Korea, with whom there is no agreement yet.
Incidentally, Japan was 6th and South Korea was 5th for Hong Kong’s largest trading partners in 2021.
Total trade amount of two countries are about 8% of Hong Kong’s total itself.
Since the RCEP agreement has just started this year and Hong Kong is going to join it, So. We must reconsider each agreement once again.

2022 Spring Baseball Seasons has come

After a cold winter, Spring baseball seasons has come finally.
My hobby is to visit various local ballparks.
In fact, professional baseball’s second team games are so closely tied to the local community that many of the games are held at regional stadiums.
The Chiba Lotte Marines, based in Chiba, Japan, will hold games for the second team in Narita, Sakura, Funabashi, Ichihara, Mobara, and other locations this year.
The Nippon Ham Fighters’ second team base is also in Chiba, but games will also be held in Ushiku and Ryugasaki in Ibaraki Prefecture, and Shibetsu and Monbetsu in Hokkaido.
I would like to go around Japan, visiting all 47 prefectures on the pretext of watching a baseball game.

As I am sure you have all seen and heard a lot in the news, Ukraine is facing serious trouble.
I don’t want to talk too much about politics since I am tweeting, but even if I didn’t want to, this news caught my attention.
In the Black Sea in southern Ukraine, a cargo ship owned by a shipping company in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, was shelled on the 25th.
One Filipino crew member injured by this.
We are glad that she/ he is not in life-threatening condition, but wish her/him a speedy recovery.
I work every day in a company building in Japan, where missiles probably never fly.
However, I was reminded that those on the front lines, such as on ships and in ports, are risking their lives.
(Of course, aviation is the same risk too, I am sure)
Sometimes I think I am hard worker, but it seems better than those people.
I will take good care of the cargo that everyone has risked their lives to bring to us.
I was also impressed by the words of the person in charge of the shipping company: ‘Both Ukraine and Russia are important countries for logistics.
There must be various circumstances in each countries.
Still, I would like to see an immediate stop and end to involving general citizen.

McDonald Price Up

Many products have recently gone up in price.
I only go there occasionally, but McDonald’s is also going to raise their prices.
They raised the price of about 20% of items, including hamburgers, by 10 to 20 yen.
This is due to soaring prices of raw materials such as wheat and beef, and rising logistics costs.
The price increase is the first in about 2.5 years since the October 2019 consumption tax hike.
For example.
“Hamburger” from 110 yen to 130 yen
“Cheeseburger” from 140 yen to 160 yen
“Teriyaki Burger” from 340 yen to 350 yen
The set menu will be raised in line with the price increase for single items.
And they are raising the price for home delivery too…
However, the prices of “Big Mac”, “McFried Potatoes”, “Happy Set” and “Value Lunch” on weekday lunchtime will still be the same.
*”Happy Set” is a set with toys that my children always choose when they go to McDonald’s.
Companies are also raising prices to survive, but it may be a price hike that is friendly to the general public.
