   Ramen
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I love ramen, and I always go out to eat ramen once a week.

The most recent place I went to was a store called “Naritake” in Tsudanuma.
This ramen shop opened its first restaurant in 1996.
Since then, it has been supported by many customers, especially among young people, and currently has six stores in Japan and one overseas (in France).
It is recommended for those who like a thick soup with homemade thick noodles and a rich taste of back fat.
I went there after 2 pm, off the peak lunch time, but the restaurant was already fully occpied.

And the second restaurant is “Sugitaya”, located in Chiba City.
It is a soy sauce ramen based on pork and chicken bones, which is said to have originated from the Yoshimura family in Yokohama City.
Among the so-called “Yokohama family ramen” that is proliferating nationwide, this ramen has a particularly strong soy sauce flavor and punch.
The noodles are medium-thick and have a unique chewy texture. This store is unusual in that it is open from 5:00 in the morning.
When we went to the restaurant around 4:00 p.m. in the middle of the day, the seats were full and we had to wait for about 15 minutes, but we enjoyed it very much.

   Tanabata
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Since it’s July, let’s talk about Tanabata.
The traditional story of Tanabata in Japan is as follows.

One day, God wanted to find a good groom for Orihime, the daughter of the God of Heaven, who was only weaving at her age, so God brought her together with Hikoboshi, who was also diligently raising cows.

Orihime and Hikoboshi got married and lived happily together, but God became angry with them for not working anymore and tore them apart across the Milky Way.

God felt pity on the two of them who were so sad that they couldn’t even get any work done.God decided to allow them to meet on just July 7th.

Now, there are a few things that bother me about this story.

God, aren’t you interfering too much with Orihime, who is already married and has left her parents’ home?
She seems to be living happily, and if she needs food or shelter, the two of them will soon start working again.

Orihime, do you need to be disciplined and break up with your parents every year as they say?
Why don’t you just quickly move into one of the houses when the next July 7th arrives?

Hikoboshi, don’t skip taking care of the cows.
I suggest you give the cowshed to someone else and change jobs.

This kind of tweaking is part of the charm of fantasy.

So, as a memorial to this folktale, let me present you with a subtitle.

The Legend of Tanabata
~Young people becoming apathetic due to over-interference by their parents, the declining birthrate and aging population.~

I don’t feel any lack of romance in this story, and it looks like it could make a documentary.

   Air Conditioner
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

We have an air conditioner that we run every summer.

We always used to open the window and use a fan.

However, I’ve come to think that it’s very important to control the room temperature in order to keep myself healthy.

This year, I turned on the air conditioner early.

Did you know that the electricity bill for an air conditioner goes up if you turn it on and off frequently?

Air conditioners consume a lot of electricity right after they are turned on, so the electricity bill will be higher than if they are left on.

We leave our air conditioner on at home too.

We can’t live without it anymore.

The other day, when I woke up in the morning, I had a stomach upset because of the cold.

I don’t know if I can manage my physical condition.

  End of the Rainy Season
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The Japan Meteorological Agency announced the end of the rainy season in the Kanto Koshin region on July 16.
This is more than two weeks earlier than last year.

This year, the Kanto Koshin and Tohoku regions are expected to have more sunny days due to the influence of summer high pressure.

The Tokyo Olympics will be held this summer, so it will be a hot summer in many ways.

   Baseball Stadium
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I’ve been doing some research on the easternmost, westernmost, northernmost and southernmost baseball stadiums in Japan.

The westernmost and southernmost are the Naha City Ounoyama Baseball Stadium, also in Okinawa Prefecture.
It is used as a camp site for professional baseball every year.
Baseball is a very popular sport in Okinawa.
This year, the Softbank Hawks and the Nippon Ham Fighters held a game there.

The easternmost is Kushiro, Hokkaido, at the Kushiro Municipal Baseball Stadium.

The northernmost is Asahikawa City Hanasaki Sports Park Hardball Stadium in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.

Both of these stadiums host Nippon Ham Fighters games every year.

Last week, I went to Asahikawa to watch a game in the rain, and it was the worst experience of my life.

However, Japanese professional baseball has played official games not only in Japan but also overseas in the past.
Before the war, games were held in Seoul, South Korea in 1923, and in Manchuria, in what is now northeastern China, in 1940.

On May 14 and 15, 2002, two games between the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks and the Orix Blue Wave were held at the Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium in Taipei, Taiwan.
This card was recorded as the southernmost and westernmost ballpark where an official Japanese professional baseball game was held.
I was there in Taiwan to watch the game myself.
It was my first time to see a Japanese baseball game, and I was very happy to be a part of witnessing the history of Japanese professional baseball.

   Dog
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The other day, a puppy came into our turtle family.
The puppy is less than three months old.
My daughter has been asking for a dog since she was two years old, but neither my wife nor I have ever owned a dog before, and we’ve been putting it off until she can learn to take care of it properly.

My daughter has always been a good friend to me when we welcomed a new turtle, and has always been on my side whenever my wife has been angry with me.
Just about a year ago, my daughter asked me, “When are you going to get a dog?” I declared that I would be on her side this time.
So I announced that I would be on her side this time. Then our search for a dog started, and after looking around, we found a breeder in our neighborhood and were able to get a dog.

My daughter was so happy that she started to sleep on the futon near the living room with the puppy instead of in her room at night.
She is actively taking care of the puppy and seems to be aware of many things.

I am also easily won over by the cuteness of the puppy.
I can’t take care of him much during the day because I’m out most of the time, but as the first one in the family to get up, my main task is to clean up the feces that he has left during the night and morning.
I’m very grateful to the breeder because I’m almost completely potty-trained.
Dog droppings are nothing to worry about as long as you take care of it right away. Just grab a roll of toilet paper and flush it down the toilet.

However, if the feces is stepped on by the puppy and then walked around the cage, I have to go to the bathroom to flush the feces stuck in the toilet or scrub it with a scrubber.
Every morning, when I open the door to the living room, I get nervous wondering what the feces will look like. The last few days I’ve been seeing them early in the morning.

For the past few days, if I wake up early in the morning, I get up, check the feces, and then go back to sleep next to the puppy until it’s time to get up, so that I can always get rid of the feces quickly.
This strategy has worked, and since then, I don’t have to spend my mornings in the bathroom cleaning up stuck-on feces.

I’ve been thinking about the feces so much that I’m starting to feel like I’m being raised by a puppy rather than raising one.

And as a reward, the puppy is always happy to lick my uncle’s face, which no one licks anymore.

I hope we can continue to enjoy our time together as a family.

   Tourists Visiting Japan
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Due to the corona disaster, I don’t see many foreign tourists in Japan anymore.

I used to arrange tour for my friends who were visiting Japan from overseas. Feel its nostalgic.
I arrange based on a visitors request for my friends from overseas, going to places they wanted to visit, and there were a few things that made me realize that even places we don’t pay much attention to when we live in Japan can become tourist spots.

* Trees all over the place
A friend who lives in a tropical country with everlasting summer decided to visit Japan in autumn.
When I asked her where she wanted to go, she said she wanted to see trees of any kind….

When I listened to her carefully, she said that she had never seen autumn leaves because it was summer all year round where she lived, and she wanted to see any kind of leaves that were red or yellow.

* Vending machines
Another friend said that vending machines in Japan are cool, like something out of a science fiction movie!
They are beautiful and have a wide selection of products! Another friend said,
I was especially excited about the touch screen vending machines, and was forced to take two shots of my friend and a vending machine in the middle of the station forever.

* Supermarket
My friend, who loves Japanese food, spent a couple of hours at a very ordinary supermarket near my house.
By the way, she wanted to buy dolphin and whale meat as souvenirs, so she looked everywhere, including the supermarket there, but they didn’t have any.

Not only the supermarket, They can not sell because of legal issues.
I was genuinely interested in it because we didn’t have the culture to eat it in my country, but… I was so disappointed.
I’ve never had it either, so I’d like to try it next time I find it.

The above is a special case, but we also went to other regular spots such as Don Quijote/Daiso/Harajuku/Sousoji/Tokyo Disney Resort.
I hope to be able to go out and have fun freely soon, both domestically and internationally.

   Kyoto Street Name Palm Song
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Recently, I’ve been hooked on the Detective Conan movies, and every weekend I go to the nearby rental video shop with my kids.

It’s been about a month now, but I’ve rented about 20 movies from one end to the other and finished watching all of them the other day.

One of them is a story set in Kyoto.

The heroine of the story wears a kimono and plays ball in her childhood, and I was attracted to the “Kyoto Street Name Hayashi Uta” that appeared in the story.

As it was so pleasant to listen to.

This is the most well known one, and it is sung from north to south along the east and west streets of Kyoto.

There is also a theory that “Chara Chara” is a reference to “Kagiya Town”.

*I’m not going to go any further because it might spoil the Conan movie.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of it recently, but it’s not the JR “Oh yeah! I don’t know if it’s the JR “So! Let’s go to Kyoto,” but I wanted to go to Kyoto because it’s the season for vacation.

If I go to Kyoto, I’m sure I’ll be walking down the street singing this song like someone who knows Kyoto.

However, I would still like to save some more fun until the corona settles down.
