I went to a local izakaya (Japanese style pub)
after a long time.
It’s a major Izakaya chain store with about 100 seats,

Due to the new coronavirus,
domestic restaurants are struggling.
According to a private research company,
the number of bankruptcies at restaurants
nationwide has reached a record high this year.

and the number of bankruptcies may be the highest ever.
I think it will have more impact on restaurants
than the Lehman shock that hit the global recession.

I went for a drive since March.
Narita-Kujukuri-Namiride Road-Ichinomiya-Taito-Ojuku-Katsuura, 3 hours course to Kamogawa.
Originally a surfing venue for the Olympic Games that passes through the Tsurigasaki coast of Ichinomiya,
I left the car running while thinking that the construction was still stopped due to the coronal bruise.
Usually, cars get crowded around here, but maybe because there is no beach this year.
Unexpectedly, even though it’s three consecutive holidays during the summer vacation, I wonder if I would be caught up in traffic eventually? ..
After all, I was able to go to the end without anything.
I saw various beaches while driving, but there were some parasols and the tents were spaced apart.

Most people play on the beach because there are no sea houses and no flags of danger or danger.

Normally, the temperature in Kamogawa is around 30℃ even in August, but this consecutive holiday was 35-37℃.

Narita Airport online tour for the first time
An online tour of Narita Airport is held on August 22.
You can enjoy videos of the airport that you can’t usually see.
They are also to hold a mystery tour around the airport.

with some airport goods and discount tickets.
This is the first attempt of a domestic airport in Japan to hold a virtual tour
according to Greenport Agency, a group company of Narita International Airport Company.
In this event, curators in the Museum of Aeronautical Sciences explain how the airport works.
They provide some videos of the areas usually out of sight from passengers, and others first opened to the public.
They planned this attempt so that we can enjoy the atmosphere of traveling around the airport
while staying home under the influence of COVID-19.

WHITE BASEBALL SPIKES

When I was watching the “2020 Koshien High School Baseball Exchange Games” held from August 10,
I felt a sense of discomfort at the feet of the players.
They were wearing white spikes in spite of black pairs to play.
Japan High School Baseball Federation would be too noisy about appearances like that, but they didn’t seem to complain about it.
“Is it because it’s not a regular tournament this year?” I wondered.
It seems that the white spikes have been allowed from March this year as a precaution against heat stroke.
Actually an experiment shows that the temperature inside the white spike is 10 ℃ lower than that of the black one.
In addition, these white spikes seem to have some visual effects for us to feel lighter or feel as if we can run faster.
It is likely that white will be the base color for high school baseball children’s feet.
By the way, I remembered that my legs were so hot and smelled during summer practice and games when I was a student…

50 years

After spending in this aviation industry for nearly 50 years,
